Todd Hessel graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in Biochemical Engineering. Soon after graduation, he raised the necessary support through Great Commission Ministries to join the staff team of his college church at Mizzou, The Rock. Todd was involved in overseeing small groups on campus, leading Bible studies and teaching, providing staff oversight for a leadership training program for students, and being in funny videos.
After serving with The Rock for more than five years, Todd followed his desire to grow deeper in God's Word and continue serving in a community setting. He moved to Chicago where he graduated with a MDiv from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Todd accepted the position of pastor at Algona E-Free in 2005.
Todd and his wife, Carrie, were married in 2000 and they have two daughters, Cora and Lydia. The Hessels’ desire to love and glorify God with their lives and be involved in helping others to do the same.
